Carys Hedd Paschalis
Carys undertook an ILM level 7 in Executive Coaching and Mentoring qualification in 2021 after deciding to add another string to her Human Resources bow. Having nearly two decades of experience in the people profession in the public and charitable sectors, her positive working relationships with senior leaders means that she regularly plays the part of a sounding board which motivated her to develop her coaching and mentoring capabilities farther, gaining ILM accreditation in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.

Coaching Style
Carys’ coaching style is democratic and developmental. By working with her clients her goal is to help them identify their hidden potential and draw out the best in them by encouraging motivation and inspiration, efficiency and productivity, creativity and empowerment, building confidence and self-belief, commitment to objectives and long-term development and enhanced growth. Her preferred techniques are cognitive behavioural coaching and the use of creative and written exercises, although she will work with clients to find techniques and models which get the best out of them.
Carys is a fluent Welsh speaker, Welsh being her first language, and she can offer coaching sessions in Welsh or English. She’s also learned about coaching clients on the Autistic Spectrum through the Association of Coaching’s seminars.
Professional Membership & Continuous Professional Development
Carys is a member of the Association for Coaching and as such adheres to the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors. For her own continuous professional development she participates in the Association for Coaching seminars and co-coaching forums and is also a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. As a Chartered Member of the CIPD she also regularly attends HR-related events, seminars and workshops which often overlap with coaching and mentoring. She participates in supervision sessions with a qualified supervisor (a requirement of being a coach) as well as participating in peer supervision sessions.
